The Rural Road Trip: Small Business Edition is a statewide initiative powered byThe NC Rural Center, CornerSquare Capital, NC Invest, Thread Capital, and the Business Connectivity Alliance in uniting rural areas and surrounding counties, fostering economic growth, and celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit.

The events will bring together Business Support Organizations (BSOs) from across the state to network, share resources, and collaborate on initiatives with business owners. By fostering collaboration and communication among BSOS In tandem with the business owners, we hope to create a more connected and accessible ecosystem for business owners to navigate and access the support they need to grow and succeed.

Business Ownership is an essential element for economic development and there are various resources available to support entrepreneurs and business owners. However, these resources are scattered and disconnected, making it challenging for entrepreneurs to access them. Therefore, we propose a monthly statewide convening of Business Service Organizations (BSOs) with a goal of networking, sharing resources, and holding a community resource fair for entrepreneurs.

The primary objective of the Rural Roadtrip: Small Business Edition is to bring together EBOs from across the state to network, share resources, and collaborate on initiatives to support business owners. By fostering collaboration and communication among EBOs in tandem with the business owners, we hope to create a more connected and accessible ecosystem for business owners to navigate and access the support they need to grow and succeed.
