MWBE Coordinators Conference – We’re Now Members!

We’re excited to announce that Give It To The People is now an official member of the MWBE Coordinators network. Attending the recent conference gave us invaluable insights into supporting MWBE-certified businesses, and we’re thrilled to be part of this incredible community.

Three Takeaways:

1. Finding your tribe is always a vibe.

2. More work needs to be done to educate entrepreneurs about "how" the system of procurement really works.

3. There are Black companies that are doing amazing things as business leaders and philanthropists, and they deserve to be recognized for their contributions.

NC IDEA Ecosystem Summit Recap

The NC IDEA Ecosystem Summit was a powerhouse of inspiration and collaboration! We connected with leaders who are shaping the future for entrepreneurs in North Carolina and are bringing those learnings directly to our programming.

3 Takeaways from the Summit

Your online presence matters. There were a lot of people who saw us online and wanted to connect as a result of our articles on linked, which you can subscribe to.
There are people in your county that you need to work with. However, going outside of your community or bringing someone in from the outside are all viable options to creating a new energy and getting what you and your organization/business need to thrive.
Ecosysteming is now a clearly defined verb meaning: Diverse groups and individuals with the willingness, knowledge, time, and resources formally and informally helping people realize their full entrepreneurial potential thereby strengthening our economy and communities.

HUSTLE Winston-Salem Marketing Outside The Box

Give It To The People is thrilled to announce its selection as a Marketing Service Provider for the Marketing Outside the Box (MOTB) Program, presented by HUSTLE Winston-Salem and sponsored by NC IDEA’s Black Entrepreneurial Council. This program empowers Black entrepreneurs and small business owners with free, personalized marketing support to help elevate their businesses and achieve lasting success. Applications for the program are open until December 2, 2024, at www.hustlews.org/motb.

The revamped MOTB program shifts from traditional workshops to delivering hands-on marketing services. Selected participants will be matched with marketing professionals for personalized support, including strategy development, storytelling, SEO optimization, and more, along with opportunities to win marketing prizes throughout the 12-week engagement.
